Judith Newbold
Manager Learning and Development Unit

Judith’s long association and commitment to quality improvement started when she worked for the Monash Business Centre (Melbourne), and contracted Motorola to deliver its quality programmes in Australia. In addition to training, this involved the establishment of benchmarking clubs and consultancy assignments with the public and private sectors.

Jane Lawrence
Learning and Development Administration Officer

Prior to joining the Team at the Unit, Jane worked as the Administration Manager of the Training and Consultancy Services at the Regional Extended Family Services (REFS). During her time at REFS, Jane established comprehensive data base of clients which she used to successfully market REFS’ programs. She also developed maintained systems and procedures and was responsible for managing the Fee-for-Service Training Calendar.

Brenda Nash
Policy and Project Leader (Learning and Development)

Brenda has spent many years working in learning and development roles across a range of non-profit organisations in Australia and the UK, and has also spent time working learning and development in the private sector. She has social welfare, social policy, and project management qualifications.

Angela Pickering
Policy and Project Leader (E-learning)

Angela is an instructional designer and consultant specialising in capability development for the community services industry. She has worked in a range of research, project management and consultancy roles in vocational education, business and community sectors.

Kelvin Lee
Project Officer (Occupational Health and Safety)

Kelvin has built his project management skills and knowledge from a range of experiences over the years.  He started his practice with projects in Community Development and International Aid but has since extended his portfolio to include work with the Vocational Education & Training as well as Community Service sectors.

Steven Smith
Policy and Project Leader (Residential Care Learning and Development)

Steven is an experienced youth worker and has managed the FAHCSIA-funded Reconnect program. He has spent a number of years working with young people in an outdoor therapeutic program and has extensive learning and development experience in the non-profit and public sectors.
