Room Hire

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare is conveniently located at Level 5, 50 Market Street, Melbourne. It is close to Flinders Street and Spencer Street stations, trams and bus terminals.

We have three meeting rooms available to hire. The River (Board) Room seats 12 around the table,  the Training Room seats 25 for workshops and 40 theatre style. The Network Room seats 10 to 15 people around the room.

Members of the Centre are entitled to one free booking each year.

Note: All rooms booked out for dates during school holidays are entitled to a 20% discount on the listed fees.

Room Booking Information

Normal hours are from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. After hours access is by arrangement only. Where a staff member from the Centre is required, a $55.00 (GST exclusive) per hour surcharge will be imposed with a minimum of 2 hours. (Trainers/organisers have access from 8.30am to 5.30pm).

The Room charges include tea, coffee, milk and biscuits.

A conference phone is available for use in each of the rooms, however conference calls need to be booked and paid for by the individual/organisation hiring the room.

In the Training Room and River Room the use of a large multi-use flat screen and laptop are included in the price of booking. An overhead projector and electronic whiteboard are included as part of the price of the Network Room.

Lunch and refreshments can be organised through the Centre or you may wish to use your own catering.

As the cost of this room is very competitive it is a requirement of booking that visitors will clean up as they go along this includes doing dishes and returning to original set up (including removal of used paper, cleaning whiteboards etc.)

Photocopying and fax facilities are available during office hours (for emergency use only) at user-pays rates of 30 cents per page. Email is available (for emergency use only) at a cost of $1 per email.

The Centre's expert staff are available to organise and facilitate meetings and training events. Prices are available on application.
